The Hill Country Quilt Guild has always fostered a commitment to our community. Members of the guild donate their time, energy, funds, useful items and, of course, quilts to the following organizations:
Kerrville Arts and Cultural Center
KACC is an art center dedicated to promoting the local artist community through exhibits, education and programs.
Hill Country Crisis Council
Hill Country Crisis Council has a commitment to help victims of family violence and sexual assault put the pieces of their lives back together. Our Emergency Shelter helps women and their children escape from the hand of domestic violence.
Children from birth to 17 years of age find shelter and safety at K’STAR, Inc. We provide loving care to each child entrusted to us, offering counseling, shelter, and support.
Hill Country Youth Ranch
Established in 1977, Hill Country Youth Ranch is a non-profit charitable corporation licensed by the Texas Department of Family/Protective Services to provide long-term therapeutic care for abused and orphaned children at all levels of trauma and need.
Any Baby Can
Since 1982, Any Baby Can has been a safety net for families in need. Providing direction and guidance for families of children and youth with special needs is at the heart of this organization.
Pregnancy Resource Center
Our Commitment of Care reflects our heart’s desire to love unconditionally. We provide a professional, safe, and comfortable environment with open and honest answers to your questions. It is our goal to provide up-to-date and accurate education to give you the knowledge needed to make informed decisions for you and your unborn baby.
Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter
Freeman-Fritts is a no-kill shelter and promotes adoptions of homeless animals. It also provides services of spay/neuter programs, a low-cost clinic, vaccinations and medications; and provides education in responsibilities of pet care and ownership.
Veteran’s Administration Hospital
The Kerrville VA Hospital (KVAH) provides primary care, some specialty care, geriatric evaluation and management, palliative care, and long-term care services with a Community Living Center. Outpatient clinics offer primary care and some specialty care while sharing resources with each other and their respective communities.
Ronald McDonald House – San Antonio
Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Antonio provides access to quality health care and a family-centered home. The Ronald McDonald House program increases the ability of parents to spend more time with hospitalized children, to interact with their clinical care providers, and to participate in care decisions.
