The Hill Country Quilt Guild has always fostered a commitment to our community.  Members of the guild donate their time, energy, funds, useful items and, of course, quilts to the following organizations:

Kerrville Arts and Cultural Center

KACC is an art center dedicated to promoting the local artist community through         exhibits, education and programs.

Hill Country Crisis Council

Hill Country Crisis Council has a commitment to help victims of family violence and sexual assault put the pieces of their lives back together.  Our Emergency Shelter helps women and their children escape from the hand of domestic violence.

Quilts of Valor

The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.


Children from birth to 17 years of age find shelter and safety at K’STAR, Inc. We     provide loving care to each child entrusted to us, offering counseling, shelter, and     support.

Hill Country Youth Ranch

Established in 1977, Hill Country Youth Ranch is a non-profit charitable corporation licensed by the Texas Department of Family/Protective Services to provide long-term therapeutic care for abused and orphaned children at all levels of trauma and need.

Any Baby Can

Since 1982, Any Baby Can has been a safety net for families in need. Providing      direction and guidance for families of children and youth with special needs is at the heart of this organization.

Pregnancy Resource Center

Our Commitment of Care reflects our heart’s desire to love unconditionally. We     provide a professional, safe, and comfortable environment with open and honest        answers to your questions. It is our goal to provide up-to-date and accurate education to give you the knowledge needed to make informed decisions for you and your unborn baby.

Alamo Hospice in Kerrville

Mission is to provide exceptional physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support, enabling patients and their loved ones to have an end-of-life experience characterized by dignity, choice and comfort.

University Hospital – (Neonatal Intensive Care)

When an infant requires advanced medical resources, the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at University Hospital is designed to serve.  We offer the highest level of care available in South Texas, including a comprehensive team of neonatal specialists and state-of-the-art facilities.

Quilts for preemies and small babies are requested.  Quilts are provided in hospital and sent home with infants when released.   36” x 36” quilts for preemies and regular baby size for others.

Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter

Freeman-Fritts is a no-kill shelter and promotes adoptions of homeless animals.  It also provides services of spay/neuter programs, a low-cost clinic, vaccinations and medications; and provides education in responsibilities of pet care and ownership.

Veteran’s Administration Hospital

The Kerrville VA Hospital (KVAH) provides primary care, some specialty care,           geriatric evaluation and management, palliative care, and long-term care services with a Community Living Center.  Outpatient clinics offer primary care and some specialty care while sharing resources with each other and their respective communities.

Ronald McDonald House – San Antonio

Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Antonio provides access to quality health care and a family-centered home. The Ronald McDonald House program increases the ability of parents to spend more time with hospitalized children, to interact with their clinical care providers, and to participate in care decisions.

Raphael Community Free Clinic

Our mission is to minister in a caring and Christian environment to the medically under-served of Kerrville and the surrounding area.  As a member of The National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics we are building a healthy America one patient at a time by means of free and charitable clinics where medical care for the under-served isn’t a dream it’s a reality.
